Esra Özgür

Esra Özgür graduated from Communication and Design Department of Bilkent University in 2016. She completed her master’s degree at Kadir Has University New Media Department with her thesis entitled “WhatsApp Groups Experiences of Older Users”. She worked as a radio programmer and broadcaster at a local radio station in Ankara. As a freelancer, she took part in illustration, animation, design, and video projects. As of 2020, she has been working as a research assistant at Ankara University Radio-Television Department. She is a Ph.D. student in  Radio-Television Department of Ankara University. She speaks fluent English and French. Her main areas of interest are new media, digital storytelling, and alternative social media cultures.
